Renwick Dental is proud to be a registered provider with HCF. Through the ‘More for Teeth’ program, HCF members can enjoy the convenience of claiming 100% back on a selection of essential diagnostic and preventive services.

For your convenience, we offer HICAPS facilities, allowing you to quickly and easily process your health fund claims on the spot at the end of your appointment.
How does HICAPS Work?
Following your appointment, we swipe your card through our HICAPS machine. This device instantly calculates your fund’s contribution, leaving you responsible for any outstanding fees, termed as a “gap payment,” if applicable.

What is the Medicare child dental benefit schedule?
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is an initiative by the Australian Government, designed to support eligible children aged 2-17 with essential dental care. With benefits totalling up to $1,095 over two consecutive calendar years, the scheme covers a range of basic general dental services.
Is my child eligible for CDBS?
Children and teenagers are eligible for the CDBS if they are:
- aged 0 to 17 years for any one day of the calendar year
eligible for Medicare
- part of a family that receives Family Tax Benefit Part A or the child receives an Australian Government payment from the list available through the Department of Human Services

What is the process for payment?
- A consent form is required for each eligible child per calendar year. We require the parent/guardian to sign a bulk billing consent form prior to Medicare bulk billing.
- We bulk bill all treatment, this means no out-of-pocket cost for you. Please bring your Medicare card you’re your appointment so we can ensure the correct information is stored on your file.

- Examinations, teeth cleaning and check-ups
- Fillings
- Root Canals
- X-ray
- Fissure Sealing
- Extractions
What dental services are not covered by the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)?
- Orthodontics (bracesfor straightening crooked teeth)
- Cosmetic dental work such ascrowns and veneers
- OPG x-rays
- Any dental work that needs to be done in a hospital operating theatre
