Post-Operative Care for DermaDentique (antiwrinkle Injections)

Anti-wrinkle injections are a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment with little downtime—but following a few key aftercare steps is important for optimal results.
What to Expect After Your Appointment
Mild Redness or Swelling
You may notice slight redness, swelling, or small raised bumps at the injection sites. This is completely normal and usually settles within 30 minutes to a few hours.
Occasional Bruising
Some patients may experience minor bruising at the injection site. This is temporary and can be safely covered with makeup after 24 hours.
Initial Results
Anti-wrinkle treatments begin to take effect within 2–4 days, with full results visible at around 10–14 days. Don’t worry if you don’t see an immediate difference—it takes time for the product to work.
Post-Treatment Instructions
For the First 4 Hours:
- Stay upright—do not lie down or bend forward excessively.
- Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated areas.
- Refrain from applying makeup directly over the injection sites.
For the First 24 Hours:
- Avoid intense physical activity or exercise.
- Stay away from saunas, hot showers, hot yoga, and solariums.
- Limit alcohol consumption to reduce the risk of bruising.
- Do not undergo facial treatments, massages, or skin needling.
Facial Movement Is OK
Gently moving your facial muscles (smiling, raising your eyebrows, frowning) can help the product settle into the targeted muscles—just avoid direct pressure or excessive touching.
What to Expect Moving Forward
Results Duration
You can expect your results to last around 3–4 months. With consistent treatments, the longevity may increase over time.
Follow-Up
We recommend a review appointment around 2 weeks after your treatment to assess the results and make any necessary adjustments.
Maintenance
To maintain your results, schedule repeat treatments every 3–4 months. We’ll guide you on the right timing based on your individual goals and muscle strength.
