Dr Scott Cooper
Principal Dentist
BDS Newcastle University of Qld
Dr Scott Cooper has been a familiar face at our practice since 1993, known not only for his clinical expertise but also for his approachable nature, sense of humour, and unmistakable ’90s music taste. His long-standing patients appreciate his honest, high-quality care—and many still remember his signature curly hair from back in the day.
Scott completed his dental training at the University of Queensland and began his career in private practice in Tasmania before settling on the Central Coast, where he and his wife have raised their three sons.
He became a partner in the practice alongside Dr Andrew Moran and has since continued in partnership with Dr Alastair Brown, as he begins the gradual transition toward reducing his clinical days and moving toward retirement.
Scott served for over a decade as treasurer of the Australian Dental Association (ADA) Central Coast division and remains a strong advocate for ongoing professional development. He is also a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and has contributed to the wider community through dental volunteer work in the Northern Territory and support for the U20 National Basketball Championships.
With decades of experience and a calming, friendly demeanour, Scott has built trusted relationships with generations of patients. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys making the most of the outdoors—fishing, hiking, biking, skiing, or hitting the golf course whenever he can.
