Dear Renwick Dental Community,
At Renwick Dental, your health and wellbeing are our top priority.
As an accredited dental practice, we already hold a high standard for infection control.
In light of the COVID-19 situation, we are taking extra precautions to ensure the health and safety of all patients and staff. We need the co-operation of our community to make this work. We are all in this together.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Please inform us by phone if:
- you have been confirmed with COVID-19;
- you have a suspected infection;
- you have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19; or
- you are self-isolating.
This applies to all our staff and patients and is a government directive. This is critical to preventing the spread of infection and helping to keep our local business open.
DENTAL EMERGENCIES for SUSPECTED OR CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES
If you are in one of the above categories (self-isolating, or have a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19) we do not have the resources at Renwick Dental to treat a dental emergency as the appropriate rooms and equipment needed are only in the hospitals. Please contact the Department of Health directly on 1800 020 080.
PRIORITISING THE VULNERABLE
We will be reserving our earliest morning appointments for the elderly and the immuno-suppressed. Please request an early morning appointment if you require it.
EXTRA PRECAUTIONS
We have been reviewing and reorganising our team, protocols for work flow as well as standards for hygiene and infection control. We are making extra time between appointments to ensure that the waiting room and surgeries are well prepared for each person.
STAY HEALTHY, STAY CLEAN
If you are healthy, there is no need to miss your dental appointment. Our surgeries operate already with a high degree of infection control and our practices and protocols have been reviewed (and under constant review) in light of COVID-19 information.
When you arrive and before you leave, please use the provided hand sanitiser. Handwashing is a key to reducing the spread of infectious disease.
If you need to sneeze, catch it in a tissue.
If you need to cough, cough into your elbow.
… And wash your hands again.
WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER
As the situation unfolds, we will continue to keep you up-to-date with any new evidence, resources and any changes to the way we work.
Let’s help each other navigate these unfamiliar times together.

Thank you, Drs Scott Cooper and Jeanne Chong.
